Antique (1930s) Cathedral Window Feed Sack Quilt Coat “Cordelia” Beautifully intricate
Meet Cordelia
Cordelia will stop you in your tracks
She is made from a genuine antique cathedral window quilt we believe dates from the 1930s-1940s. Every one of those hundreds of folded white petals was hand sewn — individually folded, individually stitched, individually placed to reveal a tiny window of feedsack fabric beneath. Pink florals. Blue ginghams. Yellow prints. Every one different. Every one precious.
Cathedral window is one of the most labour intensive quilt patterns ever made. There are no shortcuts. The woman who made this quilt touched every single window with her own hands. Hundreds of times.
This beautiful kimono style quilt coat will easily fit Medium to X-Large in an oversized fit. Exact measurements available upon request.
Disclaimer:
Wolfgang coats are made from genuine antique and vintage quilts — pieces that have lived full lives before becoming something new. They carry the beautiful marks of that history: softness from years of washing, gentle fading, the occasional small repair or imperfection. This is not a flaw — it is the whole point. We give once loved and now unused quilts a new life, regardless of their flaws!
