Cut and reimagined from a vintage appliqué quilt, this open-front coat carries the soft, faded beauty of something that has already lived a life — and is ready to begin another. The ground is a hushed sage green, washed to the quietest possible version of itself, quilted in gentle waves that catch the light as you move.

Blooming across the fabric: hand-appliquéd roses and tulips in blush, coral, and deep rose, their petals outlined in careful stitching, leaves rendered in dusty teal. No two panels are alike. The motifs fall where the original quilter placed them — not where a pattern demanded.

The silhouette is easy and generous: a relaxed kimono-inspired shape with wide sleeves, a draped open front, and a fold-over lapel that can be worn white side up or teal side up.

This is slow fashion in the truest sense — one garment, one quilt, one maker.
