Made from a genuine vintage tied quilt, Ruth is all honest checks and ginghams — dusty blue madras plaid alongside fine red gingham, big bold checks beside tiny delicate ones. Whoever pieced this original quilt had a good eye for fabric, even if they never knew it.

Those little white knots scattered across her surface are the original quilting ties, each one hand finished, holding her layers together just as they have for decades. They’re not decoration. They’re history.

Ruth’s relaxed cropped silhouette and three quarter sleeves make her the easiest jacket you’ll ever own — thrown over everything, flattering on everyone, never trying too hard.
