Made from a genuine antique quilt we believe dates from the 1930s — her muted Depression era pastels and grandmother’s fan pattern are characteristic of that remarkable decade. Pearl may be nearly a century old. She has lived.

Her ethereal palette of antique white, barely there blue and the softest dusty rose feels almost otherworldly. That grandmother’s fan pattern sweeps across her in great arcs, creating something that looks almost like a sunrise on her back. Celestial feels like the right word.

Pearl’s cropped sleeves give her a relaxed easy wearability that her delicate coloring might suggest she lacks. She’s tougher than she looks. Nearly a hundred years of history will do that.
